The crew

Welcome to the team

We're thrilled to welcome three new crew members this season: Blaine, Beau, and Braden. They're joining returning members Bryce, Alan, and Justin to give us six builders on the ground — more capacity than ever before.

Yes, four of six names start with B. We briefly considered rebranding to Beden Valley Trails... we'll hold off on that for now.

2026 Projects

Miles of trail ahead

We have a full season lined up across multiple locations. Here's what's coming:

Sidewinder Trail reroute — Powder Mountain

We're kicking off the season with a reroute of Sidewinder. Thanks to the generosity of Powder Mountain, we've been granted access to their property to the north to bypass a section damaged by recent construction. We'll also address several other trouble spots to get the whole trail riding great.

Canyon Rim alternate + Maples connector — Snowbasin

Next we head to Snowbasin to finish the 2-mile alternate off Canyon Rim that we started last fall. We'll also build a new connector to Maples Trailhead — making it possible to link Canyon Rim with Sardine Peak into a fantastic longer loop.

North Fork Park

After Snowbasin, we're heading back to North Fork Park for another round of work. More details coming soon — stay tuned.

Pineview Loop Pathway (PLP)

We are applying for a grant to fund a feasibility study to complete the Loop. We've been working closely with Weber County, the USFS, Huntsville, and Ogden Valley City to make this vision a reality. We are also working diligently to get the Winters Grove bridge rebuilt and open again — stay tuned for updates!

Keeping up on the Trails You Love

Of course, new construction is only part of the story. In addition to all the building projects this season, Eden Valley Trails will continue its ongoing maintenance work across all of the trails in its care — trimming encroaching brush, clearing drainages, repairing tread, and addressing the countless small fixes that keep trails rideable and sustainable year after year. It's unglamorous work, but it's what separates a great trail system from one that slowly fades away.

Antelope Island — something new!

To close out the season, we're trying something different: heading to Antelope Island to add 1.7 miles of brand new trail. We're excited to work with a new partner and contribute to the trail system so many of us turn to when everything around Ogden Valley is too wet to ride.

We are so grateful for each and every one of you. None of what we do is possible without your support — whether that's donating, volunteering, or simply spreading the word about the trails we all love. It means the world to us.

Keep an eye on your inbox and follow us on social media for updates, volunteer opportunities, and announcements throughout the season. We can't wait to share what we're building with you.

With gratitude,

Alan and the EVT Crew
