Hey trail friends,
Summer’s rolling in, and so are the projects. First up—we’re making great progress on the new trail at Snowbasin. We’ve carved out over 2 miles so far, and it’s looking seriously good. Berms, flow, views—you’re gonna love it. We've heard a few folks worry that it's just a high school / NICA race loop, but let us clear that up: this trail is for everyone. Yes, it’ll host a few races each year, but the rest of the time? The trail will be wide open for public riding, and general trail stoke.
This trail is made possible through a partnership with Snowbasin Resort, who’s covering half the cost—but we’re counting on donor support to fund the other 50%. If you love seeing trails like this come to life, now’s a great time to give.
That said—please don’t ride it just yet. We need a good rain to help it set before we open the gates. Riding too soon will wreck those lovingly sculpted corners (and maybe you, too). We’ve put in a ton of hours making this thing awesome. Help us keep it that way!
Once we get a little moisture and the trail compacts, we’ll be opening up a section for folks to ride and enjoy. Keep an eye out—we’ll post as soon as it’s ready.
And while the Snowbasin project gets a lot of the attention, it’s just one piece of the puzzle. We’re also:
- Working with the U.S. Forest Service to reopen the Pineview West / North Arm Trail, which has been closed since 2023’s flooding.
- Helping Weber County identify trouble spots on the Pineview Loop Pathway (PLP) and get them fixed.
- Teaming up with the Forest Service to replace the Winter’s Grove bridge, which washed out.
- And always pushing forward on our big-picture vision: a fully connected PLP around the reservoir, so you can bike or walk through the valley safely, surrounded by all the good views.
Of course, we haven’t forgotten about our first love—**North Fork Park**. We’re out there trimming back overgrowth and keeping the trails in shape. Clear sightlines and open trails aren’t just nice—they keep things safe and fun for everyone.
Oh—and if you’re looking for away to help: Biker’s Edge is once again matching all donations 100%. That means every dollar you give turns into two for building and maintaining these trails we all love.
Thanks for being part of the Eden Valley Trails community. Let’s keep this momentum rolling.
Catch you on the trail (soon!),
